Names are our business, and ours has a story of its own. Our roots go back to 1969, when the business known as Naag Tag began with a simple idea: help missionaries for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints introduce themselves through engraved name tags.

Today, we’re Name at a Glance. Our work has grown beyond those tags, but helping people recognize and connect with one another is still at the heart of what we do.

How It Started: A Name That Opens a Conversation

By wearing engraved name tags, missionaries gave the people they met an easy way to address them.

An engraved name tag was a small addition with a practical purpose. It gave someone a name to use before introductions were even finished.

That idea still matters. 

A customer looking for help in a store needs to know whom to approach. A visitor arriving at an office wants to find the right person. Custom name tags help make those everyday introductions easier.

Decades of Experience Behind Every Name

In 1995, Linda and Russ Lindeman took over the company, carrying its work forward through the years that followed.

The next chapter began on September 1, 2022, when Shawn and Michael Ann Wilson became the owners. Both were former employees who already knew the business and the care its work required.

Shawn brought more than 30 years of graphic design experience. Michael Ann brought nine years of experience as a lead engraver, along with a background in interior design and project management.

Together, they bring experience in both designing personalized products and making them: How it looks and how it’s made. A design needs to fit the available space, and the finished lettering needs to be clear enough to serve its purpose.

Customers who knew us as Naag Tag will recognize the work behind Name at a Glance. The company name has evolved, while our commitment to craftsmanship and customer service continues.

We still make the professional identification products businesses depend on. We’ve also expanded our creative, personalized offerings, building on the engraving experience that has been part of the company for decades.

For longtime customers, that means continuing a familiar relationship.
